PUTTING ON AN OUTFIT AND GOING TO A LOCATION
- I started cosplaying in 1999 when I attended a Halloween party as Aerith Gainsborough. I constructed the wig out of cheap hair wefts from the beauty supply braided around a foam tube, which I then bobby pinned into my actual human ponytail. I made a staff out of dowel rod and some tin foil. I won the costume contest. No pictures exist from this party that I know of. Documenting everything in photographic form wasn't as much of a need back then. I went back to the house I was petsitting at for the weekend and proceeded to cry because the process of extracting my hair from that contraption was so painful and took an hour.
- I've learned a lot since then, and I've stubbonrly refused to learn many lessons as well.
- Scroll down for my cosplay CV. I've organized things by time period. I'm old enough that it's easier that way, ayyy.
